We are excited to announce the 8th CD edition of The Electric Swing Compilation. The series started in 2009 following the success of the first album of Caravan Palace.
Bart&Baker have compiled and mixed most of this volume, offering an insight into movers and shakers for those addicted to this music style.
This latest collection comprises 24 tracks ranging from classic artists like Caravan Palace, Caro Emerald, Swingrowers and Swing Republic. But it also welcomes new swing kids on the block including Marcella Puppini, founder of the still hot band The Puppini Sisters, who is developing an electro swing side project before the release of the band’s next album. Swahn, Jive Me & Extra Medium represent the best of the breed of young Web 3.0 bedroom producers who may become the future Parov or Caravan.
Traditional followers of, and newcomers to electro swing know that swing is all about melody and rhythm. They will be pleased by the tracks from Dj Farrapo, Caro Emerald, Swing Republic, Budapest bar, Gilda, Elle & The Pocketbelles have created cool pop tunes to make your mother shake her hips!
And then there’s reworks from known and lesser-known swing tracks such as “Charleston”, “Wah De Da De”, and “Doin’ the Uptown”. Swing Hop and Ghetto Swing make an appearance with the songs of Lamuzgueule with Lyre le Temps, and Smokey Joe & The Kid partnered with the singer Blake Worrell. Balkan beats are also present with Budapest Bar and the Klischée remix Trakorkestar
Furthermore, this compilation showcases the other side of the Atlantic with the hot American Electro Swing producer, The Gentlemen Callers of Los Angeles.
Additionally, Bart&Baker have taken the opportunity to remix some of their favorite tracks including “French Romance” by the French Balkan beat band Soviet Supreme, “Enjoy the Moment” by Swingrowers, “I’m in the mood for trouble” by Marcella Puppini, and “Showgirl” by The Gentlemen Callers.

“Swingtonic!” with the icon of Belgian vintage, George Bangable for a fun clash between aerobic beats and swing vibes.
“J’Veux du Soleil”, a #1 song from the nineties completely reworked and infused with dirty house beats by the Serbian producer Gramophonedzie who, in the nineties, composed one of the few Number One hits using an Electro Swing backbeat.
“Danke Schoen” is a cover version of the Wayne Newton hit, revered as the Las Vegas Anthem. A famous vocal trio is singing the main chorus, and benefit from a deep and deconstructed house treatment.
